It's better than basic face tracking but I found that it was not nearly as good as using an LED point source. ![]() You only need a single black and white square, not the multiple chessboard examples but some work much better than others. Its one advantage, though, is that it works with the Aruco tracker which just involves sticking a small printed card square to your hat/headset - search online for "Aruco marker". It's free and works with more hardware trackers but I found it was not as smooth in FSX as FaceTrackNoIR and more difficult to set up. Very cheap to buy on eBay and fairly easy to modify. Among the trackers are the SM FaceAPI, AIC Inertial Head Tracker and PointTracker (IR-tracker derived from FreeTrack). The Playstation 3 Eye Camera seems to be the most popular option as a standalone webcam. Modular headtracking program that supports multiple face-trackers, filters and game-protocols.
